When I first heard of Your Beauty Pal Cosmetics, aka YBP, they had just stocked their sponges. The Makeup Perfector was affordable-ish and black, and of course, I bought it. As of right now, I have four YBP sponges in my drawer, amongst many many more. (Find the best budget friendly sponges here.)

A little while and ‘Color Creams’ later, the brand has ventured into skin. (The Color Creams never intrigued me, but they did collab with desi biggie, Shreya Jain)

Anyhoo, skin. YBP dropped their “Plant Remedy” yesterday, and it looks SUPER luxe. I really want to get it to test it out, but it’s a little too pricey. I don’t mind giving indie brands my money (ESPECIALLY indie brands – they deserve it), but sometimes I have to take a step back and ask myself – do I REALLY need this right now?

Great for Sensitive Skin / Dull Skin / Sun Damaged Skin / Congested Skin

Use it as an everyday moisturizer, clarifying treatment serum, or as a night time facial oil. This 3-in-1 concentrated plant phytonutrient formula can help any skin condition by –

  • Penetrating deep into the skin
  • As a result, strengthening your skin’s lipid barrier and response to the sun.

Plant Remedy is made with only 4 carefully chosen ingredients. Each oil in this blend is chosen specifically for its medicinal properties, not for its scent.

Argan Oil: This Moroccan liquid gold, with its vast essential fatty acid profile, is a powerhouse of deep moisture and aids in reducing the appearance of fine lines and scarring.

Blue Tansy Oil: It’s extraordinary cooling properties provide relief to red or irritated skin of any kind. Moreover, the anti-inflammatory quality provides soothing gentle cell regeneration.

Geranium Oil: The fresh, sweet, green, herbaceous scent lingers and helps relax the nervous system. Additionally, this marvelous skin-balancing oil can improve overall skin complexion.

Rosemary CO2 Extract: The anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties help protect the body and skin from free radical damage.

The YBP Plant Remedy retails for INR 2450 (for 30 mls of product). Alternatively, they also have a 10 ml bottle for INR 1250. Buy it here. As for me, I’ll let you know what I think when I get it.

A voracious addict of everything beauty, little did I know I would be treading down this path. Started off as a dentist, occasionally dribbling in the arts. Now full time Instagram browser and money spender. They say money doesn't buy happiness. I disagree. They probably didn't know where to shop.
