As somebody with dry skin, I am constantly on the lookout for products that will hydrate my skin, and my soul. A few posts ago, I spoke to you about the Hydra Elixir Serum, which has become a favourite of mine. Another such item, which will make you fall in love with your skin is the Laneige Water Sleeping Mask.
Laneige launched in India a couple of months ago, and had everybody excited. I picked up their Water and Lip Sleeping Masks because I had heard SO MUCH about them. Do I regret my purchases? Absolutely not.
Prior to the Water Sleeping Mask, I was dependant on the Clinique Moisture Surge overnight mask for some added suppleness to my skin. Sure, Clinique worked amazingly well, but the price point is something that not everyone can afford. And it was also thicker than the Laneige mask.
But why exactly did Laneige trump Clinique? Read on.

What it is:
An overnight, moisture-recharging gel mask that quickly absorbs while you sleep to deeply hydrate skin.

MY VERDICT
I am an extremely skeptical person when it comes to trying new things. But the Water Sleeping Mask became a favourite after ONE application.
The product comes in a glass jar, and includes a little spoon to prevent bacterial growth. Cute.
After dotting on my face and neck, I proceeded to rub the mask into my skin – and it felt wonderful. It has a little slip, and spreads with ease. It also dries down to a slightly tacky finish, which eventually disappears.
Doesn’t get onto pillows, and smells AMAZING! The scent isn’t very strong so idk if it will be bothersome for any of you. Personal preferences, I suppose.
Since it’s a sleeping mask, apply it as the last step to your night time routine. Go to sleep and wake up the next day with SOFT AF, glowing and radiant skin. Trust me, you won’t be able to stop touching your face! (Although I’d advise against it – you don’t want added bacteria on your skin ya know?)
I rate the Laneige Water Sleeping Mask a well deserved 5/5. I’ve totally forgotten about my Clinique mask ever since I bought this – which is saying a lot.
