The art of Pichhwai is renowned for presenting nature in all its glorious detail – an element that is revisited in all collections of the designer. Intricately painted by hand, each Pichhwai lehenga mirrors the countless effort, minute detailing and intricate handwork of the artist. The collection is presented in hues of blue, yellow and white, tiny spring flowers camouflage the beautiful birds as seen in the forests of Rajasthan. Adding hand painting in traditional Pichhwai style and crafted in pure luxurious silk, this entire collection is further embellished with pearls, sequins and signature craft of Gota Patti.

“My creativity is fuelled not just by design, but also by the revival of Indian crafts. I immediately knew that I wanted to give this art another form of life. So I invited Lekhrajji to our design headquarters in Mumbai, and that’s how the Pichhwai collection came to life,” said the designer.

This limited edition, 15 piece capsule collection is available exclusively at select Anita Dongre Wedding Couture Stores of Delhi and Mumbai.
