Nykaa Beauty has been on a roll ever since it’s inception. The brand continues to launch product after product, without stopping for MUCH needed breath. Recently, it was brushes. Now, it’s a gold glossy creation that will elevate your pout status to that of an Instagram model’s.

Say hello to the newest shade – Golden Glimmer.

Think a hell lot of gold, mixed with a glossy shine finish. That’s what the newest girl in the Nykaa Beauty class is.

In theory, strobing is essentially highlighting your face, and as a result, chiseling the sh*t out of it. Skip that contour, it was hard anyway. Strobing was the IN thing in 2018, and has managed to creep into 2019 too.

Similarly, lip strobing is a way to give yourself the Angelina Jolie pout, sans the fillers.

The packaging is a plastic cuboidal component, with a black twist top. Encased is a doe foot applicator, and the golden pigment of Midas’ dreams. The component is VERY similar to the Smashbox liquid lipstick ones.

Now, I don’t know what the formula itself is like. But if you were to believe Nykaa’s beauty blog, it describes it as follows –

  • The Strobe It Up Gloss is universally flattering, meaning it looks good on all skin tones.
  • Apparently, the formula isn’t tacky. Which means you don’t have to worry about your hair sticking to your lips.
  • The gloss “glides on like a dream, picks up the light brilliantly and evokes three-dimensional lustre.”
  • The Strobe It Up formula is “extremely lightweight” – hence, layering works well.

The Strobe It Up Gloss also has the added benefit of versatility. Layer over a lipstick, or wear it alone – High shine for days.

A voracious addict of everything beauty, little did I know I would be treading down this path. Started off as a dentist, occasionally dribbling in the arts. Now full time Instagram browser and money spender. They say money doesn't buy happiness. I disagree. They probably didn't know where to shop.
