Nykaa Beauty is working really hard to cement themselves as THE indian brand in the market. Skin, lips, eyes – they’ve got something for everything. I’ve been very critical of their complexion products because it feels too homogenous. However, lately I’ve spoken to a couple of team members who have addressed the inclusivity issue. Which, even though made sense, still didn’t warrant the shade ranges they were giving us.

So this time, for their Skin Shield foundation which they claim works to protect you against the adverse effects of pollution, Nykaa pushed out about 15 shades – which, although not as big as Fenty – still meant they tried.

SKIN SHIELD ANTI-POLLUTION FOUNDATION

Nykaa Beauty worked closely with people in their department, as well as consumers to create this line. The skin shield foundation –

  • Has a satin matte finish
  • Contains Bio Saccharide Gum 4 which shields against environmental damage
  • Has anti-oxidants and glycerine which deliver deep hydration
  • Has Enantia Chlorantha Bark extract that reduces pore sizes and controls oil

A voracious addict of everything beauty, little did I know I would be treading down this path. Started off as a dentist, occasionally dribbling in the arts. Now full time Instagram browser and money spender. They say money doesn't buy happiness. I disagree. They probably didn't know where to shop.
