Panorama music festival and style 2017
Panorama music festival took place this weekend on Randall’s Island, the second annual festival was a three-day event packed with memorable performances. There was a rare headlining set from Frank Ocean, which showed an artist working at the height of his craft. And also a series of impeccably choreographed, joyful highlights off of Solange’s stunning new album A Seat at the Table. Yet walking around the grounds, it was just as hard to forget all of the famous faces dressed in East Coast festival fashion, from Blood Orange’s Devonté Hynes in a simple cap and white T-shirt. While model Paloma Elsesser in head-to-toe red, right down to her petite Prada handbag.
The first day of the Panorama Music Festival on Friday (July 28) was off to a solid start; a solid set of performers lined up — namely Solange and Frank Ocean. But by the middle of Isaiah Rashad’s early evening set at around 5 p.m., fans had to be evacuated out of the Parlor stage that’s an indoor bubble tent due to the floor breaking.

Although models and It girls have become the standard festival crowd, there were some more unexpected faces to be seen at Panorama music festival. One of the most notable civil rights activist and outspoken Black Lives Matter supporter DeRay Mckesson in his trademark blue Patagonia vest. Shouting out DeRay is no knock on the models, though. Sahara Lin looked at once sophisticated and festive, pairing multiple animal-theme prints with a silky, see-through beige lace top.
And Spider-Man: Homecoming actress Laura Harrier oozed summer vibes in a basic black tank and candy-color bottoms. Thus proving that you don’t need to do much to look apropos. The artists and celebrities celebrated music and fashion in style at the historic festival weekend.
