Nike X Nordstrom Collection is taking street style trend to next level
Looks like high fashion, feels like active wear. In today’s exciting collaboration, Nordstrom x Nike has teamed up with stylist Dianne Garcia to create Nike X Nordstrom collection of a nine-piece capsule collection that’s all about making streetwear sexy. Garcia is the brains behind singer SZA’s tomboy-chic style, the ultra-cosy aesthetic of upcoming R&B fave Ella Mai and, Kendrick Lamar’s highly recognizable laid-back look. For her collaboration with Nordstrom x Nike, she brought her streetwear sensibilities to Nike’s classic style. The visionary stylist combines with Nike for an exclusive collaboration inspired by the iconic style of Air Force 1. Her unique upbringing and impeccable aesthetics are a couple of reasons why brand, Nike choose to collaborate with her for the Force Campaign. Splitting her childhood between Thailand and South Califonia cultivated an ease with changing environments and a lifelong craving for new experiences. This flexibility and curiosity translated into Garcia’s work today as a stylist for many celebrities.

Launching exclusively on Nordstrom.com and in-store at the Nordstrom x Nike boutique echoes the sports brand’s sleek, polished, athletic vibe while incorporating her streetwear appeal. The nine-piece range (from $45 to $175) is filled with reworked Nike staples, from compression shorts to oversized jackets, bodysuits, and more, all inspired by Nike’s iconic Air Force 1 silhouette. The collection includes biker shorts, bodysuits, hoodies and fanny packs that are reimagined with a more futuristic aesthetic.

“My goal for this was to design something for the everyday modern woman who wants something comfortable, functional, and easy to put together on-the-go without compromising style. A lot of the materials used in this collection are similar in texture so they’re not competing. I think everything is also comfortable which gives it an effortless feel period. The shapes are dramatic, but once you put it on it’s quite comfortable – a comfortable but stylish woman reads effortlessness.” said stylist Dianne Garcia.
