The Nykaa.com Femina Beauty Awards, or the NFBA 2019, took place last night in a star studded event. The award show is the biggest in the country for beauty, skincare and the works. Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh went home with the Beautiful Couple Of The Year at NFBA 2019. While Deepika herself bagged Woman Of The Year.
Let us quickly look into which beauty brands won big last night. And whether they’re my favourites or not.
BLUSH – MILANI ROSE POWDER
A radiant blush that deserves to be seen, Rose Powder Blush is gorgeous in the compact and even prettier on cheeks.
Absolutely well deserved. The Milani blushes are always a staple in most vanities because of how seamless they are.
CONTOURING – BOBBI BROWN BRONZING POWDER
Although Bobbi Brown does deserve the award here, it has to be noted that not everybody can afford this babe.
A lightweight powder bronzer with a soft, matte finish – your secret to achieving a sun-kissed look year-round.
The biggest positive point for this bronzer are the shades.
CONCEALER – MAYBELLINE INSTANT AGE REWIND

EYE SHADOW PALETTE – HUDA BEAUTY ROSE GOLD REMASTERED
I’m a little torn over this win at the NFBA 2019. The palette is definitely pretty. I’m just not sure if it’s the best out there.
FOUNDATION – MAYBELLINE FIT ME
Everybody loves Fit Me – nuff said!
HIGHLIGHTER – HUDA BEAUTY 3D PALETTE
Erm….no.
Don’t get me wrong, I like the palette. But I think I’ve only used it once or twice – that says a lot.
LIPSTICK – MAC RUBY WOO
Classic. Iconic. Well deserved.
LIQUID LIPSTICK – NYX SOFT MATTE LIP CREAM IN COPENHAGEN
The SMLC is a personal favourite of mine. Especially when I don’t feel like rocking mannequin lips. Did it deserve to win this category at the NFBA 2019? 100%
MASCARA – L’OREAL LASH PARADISE
Yeah well, I DID feature this in the best budget mascaras. This win is good. I’m glad.
PRIMER – MAC PREP+PRIME FIX+
Certainly, the entire world is obsessed with Fix+. I’d give it two awards, if it were up to me.
EYEBROW PENCIL – BENEFIT COSMETICS GOOF PROOF BROW PENCIL
Why am I elated that this won?
Because there’s 2 brow pencils by Benefit.
