Miss Dior Perfumes: A cycle of invention of best fragrances
Christian Dior is a French luxury goods company, world’s largest luxury group. On 70th anniversary the brand is holding an exhibition from 5 July to 17 January. Open Tuesday to Sunday 11am to 6pm and Thursday until 9pm. Exhibition is presenting never before Miss Dior Perfumes collection. Designer of dream is the name of the exhibition which will be held in Paris at Musee Arts Decoratifs. This stunning retrospective explores the ties between couture and all forms of art nurtured by the celebrated couturier and the designers who succeeded him at the Maison.
At the opening, Dior also took the opportunity to introduce another kind of reinvention: a reworking of Miss Dior, its first and many say finest of scents. “Miss Dior is a signature of the house,” says Francois Demachy. Dior’s exceptional in-house perfumer and creator of the new Miss Dior. “And in perfumery, it is a classic. The chronological exhibition takes visitors from 1947 to 2017. It is showing the heritage of the Dior spirit over the decades as the Maison gained world renown and remains a global symbol of France today.
In essence that means less patchouli, more fresh green notes and two potent scents of orange. But that in combination of a classic sweet orange, and a sultrier blood orange. The new Miss Dior contains a good dose of hedione. A synthetic created in the Sixties that gives many modern perfumes their addictive quality. We hope that all these mix and match work best for the brand. Hoping that the perfume will be loved in the same way the brand is loved.
