Alrighty. Let’s talk foundation today! Not drugstore, and not too high end (I’ll get there, I promise!) But somewhere in between. The Milani Conceal+Perfect 2-in-1 Foundation + Concealer – that’s a pretty long name to remember, so let’s just call it the Milani C+P.
Milani Cosmetics are one of many popular brands around the world. Combined with their price point, they’re always around to give bougie brands a run for their money. And with the C+P, they did the same. I bought the Milani Foundation from Beauty Bay, since it wasn’t available in India at the time and instantly fell in love with it. The foundation comes in 19 shades, but Nykaa stocks only 7 of them (?????) I use the foundation in shade no 03- light beige.
Combat under eye circles, redness and other skin imperfections with this full coverage, water-resistant foundation plus concealer in one. A no mess, no drip pump dispenses just the right amount of fluid needed to achieve a flawless look and works around the clock to keep skin looking naturally perfect!
The foundation comes in a frosted glass bottle with a removable cap top and a pump attached. You get 30 mls of product, which is pretty standard. But you have to be careful with it while you’re travelling- you don’t want it to break.
The consistency is pretty thick, but it doesn’t feel so on application- it surprisingly feels pretty comfortable wearing! I like to prime my skin prior to using foundation and I like to use this particular one with a damp sponge. Although it dries down to a demi matte finish with a beautiful dewy glow, I still like to set it using a damp sponge and some translucent powder.
The P+C is a medium to buildable full coverage foundation, but I honestly feel one full face application is best. It does not emphasize pores or cling to dry patches. It also feels pretty hydrating.
Apart from coverage, probably the best thing about this foundation is how well it stays. I have witnessed it last for a good 6 hours in crazy humid weather without budging, and I’ve been complimented on how good my skin looks each time I’ve worn it. So if you ask me, I am SOLD on this foundation.
The Milani Conceal + Perfect retails for INR 1325, which again is a challenging price to pay, but trust me, it is totally worth it.
