If you thought Fashion was going to take a step back, now that we bid farewell to awards season – you thought wrong! The leading ladies of Captain Marvel had a collective major fashion moment at the movies’ UK Premiere.
Yes, you’ve probably heard about it, read about it, debated over it. But home girl has been sick. And still is, so go easy on me.
Both Brie Larson and Gemma Chan served serious ~lewks~ at the Oscars 2019. So, of course, the carpet for their biggest movie shouldn’t be any different.
Larson arrived at the event in a royal blue custom Valentino Haute Couture dress, designed by Pierpaolo Piccioli. The off-the-shoulder gown featured cut-outs on the sides, a shimmering gold lining and a matching cape. The actress accessorized very with dainty Sara Weinstock earrings and strappy Christian Louboutin heels. Talk about being an IRL superhero, am I right? If you’ve played the part, you’ve got to dress the part too!
Gemma Chan also channeled full power suit vibes – A fiery red Brandon Maxwell two-piece ensemble from his Spring 2019 collection. The look featured flared trousers and a cape-styled turtleneck top.
While two ladies adorned capes, their cast mate, Lashana Lynch ditched it for a body-hugging hot pink Michael Costello number. The vivid colour palette on all 3 women is by far, my favourite.
Brie Larson also signed a poster for a little girl dressed as Captain Marvel and the world “aww’d” collectively.
Captain Marvel hits theatres globally on the 8th of March. So book your tickets fast! And pray for a miracle. We want the Avengers back!
