Deepica Mutyala is not your average patriarchy-plunged brown girl. She is a beauty guru, and influencer, the founder of an inclusive beauty community, and now, a CEO of a beauty brand with the same name. If you haven’t heard of Live Tinted on Instagram, you’re missing out.
Live Tinted is not just a community, it is a movement. It features people who are underrepresented in media and build real conversations around beauty through highlighting individuals from all walks of life. As of now, the brand has launched it’s first ever beauty product – and it’s no surprise that it’s an all-inclusive one.

LIVE TINTED – THE HUESTICK
The huestick acts as “an eye, lip, and cheek multistick that also balances out dark circles, dark spots, and hyperpigmentation.” The formula also claims to be
- buildable
- blendable
- weightless demi-matte color.
The most important bit is that it’s super easy to use, and good for your skin. Manufacturing also occurs in the USA.
Live Tinted’s Huestick does not contain carmine, rendering it safe to use around the eyes. Whether you’re looking for colour correction, or simply colour, these are going to be your friend.
The multi-stick comes in 3 universally flattering shades –
- Origin: an orangey red
- Rise: a terracotta
- Perk: a peachy pink

Speaking to Allure magazine, Mutyala talks about the shades and how ‘red’ was groundbreaking in terms of colour correction. “I made a YouTube video about dark circles and a proper way to mask them — with a red lipstick to offset dark circles,” she says. “It went viral because even though half the world has an issue with hyperpigmentation, the beauty industry has given no solution.”
So while it may seem that 3 shades aren’t inclusive, they actually are. They’re here to serve everybody who has felt underserved by the mainstream beauty industry.
The Live Tinted Huestick retails for $26, and is available to shop online.
