Live In Color – Morphe’s Pride Celebration Is A Collection For A Cause

Pride Month is officially upon us, and we’re all celebrating. But the beauty community is taking it a step higher by launching collections dedicated to a cause. Marc Jacobs, Tarte, Urban Decay are just some of the brands dropping new lines for the month of June. The latest brand? Morphe. And I’ll be honest, their collection is by far, my favourite.

MORPHE BRUSHES LIVE IN COLOR COLLECTION

The new pride celebration line by Morphe is everything you’d dream of. Although the launches include only 2 items – an eye shadow palette and a brush set – they’re still so pretty. And your money will be going to a cause! That’s right. 100% of the proceeds will be going to the Trevor Project – the largest 24/7 suicide and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ youth.

Community. Artistry. Self-Expression.

That is what the brand titled the campaign video they shared on their Instagram. The video features a bunch of familiar faces, including that of Global Artistry, Lipstick Nick.

“We believe in creativity, inclusivity, community, self-expression, and a full beat. So go out, and flaunt your pure, vivid, explosive colors. Because if the world was just one shade, rainbows would never exist.”

LIVE IN COLOR ARTISTRY PALETTE

This new palette is a smaller version of the Morphe x James Charles – only less scandalous. I kind of feel awful for giving my money away on the James Charles palette, since this is one is so much better. (AND MUCH CHEAPER!)

According to a press release, the shades in the Live In Color palette is inspired by, and named after, key LGBTQ+ timelines. For instance, the white shade is called “Milk”, after Harvey Milk. On the other hand, “1974” is a lilac shimmer – the year the first rainbow flag was designed to symbolize the community.

The palette features 14 matte and 11 shimmer shades – woohoo. Moreover, there’s. a. mirror!

A voracious addict of everything beauty, little did I know I would be treading down this path. Started off as a dentist, occasionally dribbling in the arts. Now full time Instagram browser and money spender. They say money doesn't buy happiness. I disagree. They probably didn't know where to shop.
