Supermodel and Victoria’s Secret angel, Lily Aldridge was clearly missing from this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show – and with good reason! The Cali model is eight months pregnant with her second child, and has teamed up with VOGUE to give us an insight on how she switches up her beauty routine when pregnant!

Aldridge talks about how important self care is for her, and even though she says that you have to cut a lot of corners when you’re a mom, it doesn’t stop her from looking (and feeling!) her best.
“I (also) switch up my beauty products to be as natural as possible, because I think that’s really important,” she explains as she lights a relaxing Le Feu De L’Eau Tuberose Candle. Lily then spreads Fresh’s Lotus Youth Preserve Rescue Mask across her bare face. Her favourite thing about the mask is her daughter, 6 year old Dixie Pearl’s reaction. “Mom, you have barnacles on your face!”
But Lily’s skin care isn’t limited to her face and neck. The model applies Hatch Mama’s hydrating Belly Mask infused with healing hero ingredients aloe vera and propolis on, of-course, her belly. “When you’re pregnant, you need to take care of that belly!”
Aldridge removes the face mask with a warm wash cloth and cleanses off the excess with Naturopathica’s Manuka Honey Cleansing Balm. She also talks about how her first pregnancy sent her skin into a tizzy. “I got little bumps all over my face, neck, and back. And then you can’t tell anyone you’re pregnant at the time, so people were like ‘What’s wrong with your skin?’ ”
She also lathers on lip balm by Windsor Edwards, which she uses – pregnant or not. Using ReFa’s Carat Face Roller, she de-puffs and sculpts her chiseled features; And applies a nourishing veil of Kora Organics Soothing Moisturizer over her face, neck, and décolletage.
For her body, Lily opts for Kate McLeod’s lush plant-based Mama Stone with rich cacao butter and seed oils. “You’re supposed to put it everywhere (you’re) growing, which is literally everywhere right now.”
After spraying her face with a little rose water, Aldridge moves on to hair and makeup. For easy and effortless waves, she braids her hair into pigtails. Dabbing RMS’s cult Un Cover-Up Concealer under the eyes, she then blends it with Noni Glow Face Oil. “It’ll spread easier,… so you get a little bit extra coverage without it being as thick as a concealer.”
Lily then contours her face and eyes using a darker shade of the concealer. And says that she’s trying to keep her cheekbones alive as long as she can. She also adds a little hint of colour using a cherry red tint. The supermodel then applies highlighter on the cheekbones, eyelids, nose and cupid’s bow. “More is more (with highlighter)!”
After curling her lashes, she haphazardly and vigorously applies her mascara, making a mess. “(Cleaning it up) is what Q tips are for.” The mascara ultimately doubles up as eyeliner. She then swipes on the Rodin x Vanessa Traina lip color in red dahlia, and uses her fingertip to blur the edges.
Untying her hair, she wiggles out her waves and applies her favourite mist – on her neck, wrists and hair. “I love to do my hair too, because when people hug you they say, ‘You smell so good.’ And I’m like, ‘Oh, me?’ ”
