Jajaabor Designer Brand Is truly making us believe that we are born to be bold
Jajaabor, in Assamese means “nomad” and as the name suggests, The brand believes in bringing inspiration from our travels to apparels, tailor-made for the contemporary Indian. Just like music has no language and love has no reason brand has no borders for fashion. The jajaabor designer brand collection is based on landscapes of imagination, embarking on new journeys. Today, the world has become a global village and we blend elements from our heritage with timeless and relaxed silhouettes, natural fabrics, colours and stories from the world around us.
“Jajaabor is a design initiative that seeks to capture and celebrate this freewheeling essence that lies within each of us; and transmute experiences into stories by employing a traditional and classic approach that is close to the roots from where we come from, yet drawing from diverse sources for the unbridled soul to breathe free and set sail in a vast and disparate world.” said the designer. And the designer brand is all set from Lakme Fashion Week Spring Summer 2019.
But the post put up by Diet Sabya, had a collage of the original artwork by Niteesh which was done back in 2015, and the photograph of the Jajaabor creation with the ripped off artwork on it. The caption for the post read, Our first ‘This-design-is-from-Pinterest’ moment is brought to you by @jajaabor2017 ripping off @niteeshyadav’s artwork from 2015, and using it as an open-source file, all over their collection. And, it’s not even Day 1 of @lakmefashionwk, yet!!”

The designers claim to have used the artwork simply because they liked it but did not know the original source of it. Once the allegation was brought to light by Diet Sabya, within 24 hours, the designer label replied to the accusation by putting up a collaboration post with artist Niteesh Yadav and giving him credit for his artwork. We are eagerly waiting to see the collaboration collection at the ramp.
