Nykaa Beauty is growing at a constant rate. The brand is always debuting something or the other, and has all their stans excited AF. Recently, they dropped their Demi Matte lip creams – something I believe was inspired by the Queen, Huda Kattan. And although I haven’t used them myself, I’ve heard they’re pretty legit.

Moving along, the newbie from Nykaa is a gel eyeliner, which is very reminiscent of my early eyeliner days. God bless Maybelline for their drama gel eyeliner. That was the GOAT! The Black Magic! Gel eyeliner by Nykaa Beauty is same same, but different.

Get the precision of a liquid liner with the ease of a gel based formula. This intensely pigmented gel glides on smoothly and has serious staying power. The smudgeproof, waterproof formula can be used to create a precise line, an artistic cat eye or make a bold statement. It comes with a silicon brush for accurate application. So dip in and strike for that fresh, just applied look all day long.

  • 12 Hour lasting
  • Smudge proof
  • Water proof
  • Quick drying
  • Soft and creamy formula
  • High intensity black pigment

The major difference between the Maybelline liner and this one is the brush. While the Maybelline Drama liner came with a brush tip applicator, this one contains a silicone applicator. The plus side? Easy to clean, instead of struggling with all the dried up gel gunk. The flip? I’m not sure about how great the application will be. I have a feeling it might take product off during application. But I could be extremely wrong. This is one thing we’ll find out upon use.

The Black Magic! Gel Eye liner retails for INR 575, and is available on Nykaa.com. So far, there’s only one colour – Jet Black. But if the formula is a win, I hope Nykaa drops more shades.
