Huda Kattan has always been a busy woman. And 2018 was a VERY busy year for her brand. Huda Beauty had many launches the past year – some which involved a little controversy. (Remember the Easy Bake campaign? Oof.) However, there were some launches that were loved globally, one of which was the Overachiever concealer.
DESCRIPTION
Calling all side hustlers, exhausted parents and amazing all night long-ers. If you’re always the last to leave the party (or the office…) it’s time to meet your newest over-achieving ally, Huda Beauty’s unbelievably hard-working Overachiever Concealer.
Huda Kattan herself says: “I wanted a product that would instantly hide my dark circles, spots, hyperpigmentation, and any redness. We packed the concealer with as much pigment as we could, and added light-reflecting spheres that have a soft, blemish-blurring effect.”
So whether you want to blend it out or build it up for high-impact full coverage, this formula is perfect.
It grants a subtle ‘luminous matte’ finish that won’t settle into fine lines, cake or create a flashback effect in photos
The formula ‘fuses’ to the skin to grant a water-resistant, transfer-free finish – so it will work hard for as long as you do.
It comes in 20 versatile shades and is brimming with skin care actives –
- Green tea helps to reduce discoloration.
- Persian silk tree extract acts as an anti-inflammatory.
- Jericho rose extract soothes and moisturizes.
- Caffeine rejuvenates and wakes up skin.
Great for your under-eye area as well as blemishes, the delivery is via a cooling metal tip to de-puff.
VERDICT
I was actually not in the mood to get the Overachiever concealer. Mainly because there are products in the market that do the job well, and are half the price.
But considering that a bunch of trustworthy gurus had some pretty positive reviews, I indulged.
I purchased the concealer in the shade “Coconut Flakes”.
And I wasn’t disappointed.
I’m not the kind of person who adds a ton of concealer. I like to go pretty minimal. Boy, was I in for a treat when I noticed that the smallest amount of the Overachiever concealer was enough for me to get the job done.
My undereyes looked flawless AF, and although I didn’t wear it for too long, it definitely seemed pretty intense lasting.
However, the concealer does dry down pretty fast so you have to be quick to blend it out!
So yeah, if you want to fake it till you make it, and you have the coin, you should invest in the Overachiever concealer. You can shop it on Nykaa.com, and it is priced at a pretty intense INR 2520.
