When Middle Eastern makeup artist, Hindash, showcased and swatched MAC’s Hyper Real Glow palettes on his Instagram stories, I KNEW I had to get them. But the sad thing was, I wasn’t in Middle East at the time, and MAC India hadn’t launched it yet. So I did what I do best, I’d wake up every day and check Nykaa’s app to see if they had brought it into their line. And one fine day, as per routine, I woke up and was scanning Nykaa, and I saw that the Hyper Real Glow Palettes were available, and I went berserk.
I picked up the MAC Hyper Real Glow Palette in Get It Glowin’ for a WHOPPING INR 3900, but I didn’t regret it for even a second. I mean, as long as I didn’t check my bank account, nobody was getting hurt. (I did eventually face the hurt after a while, but I made my peace with it)
CLAIM: Fall fast and hard for the highlighting palette perfection of Hyper Real Glow. MAC’s Hyper Real Glow Highlighter palette packs three hues of highlight for supercharged, ecstatic-in-love-level radiance. Bring on a rush of warmth in this trio of burning gold shades. With an irresistibly creamy powder formula, shades blend effortlessly to leave an ultra-reflective, yet flawlessly smooth sheen. Get lost in the hyper real.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS: I am always excited to receive new makeup, but for this palette, I was anxious. What if it wasn’t as great as I thought it was? There was only one way to find out.
The Get It Glowin’ palette comes in a black rectangular heavy cardboard packaging enclosed in a hard transparent plastic cover. On opening the box you see a stunning mirror, a protective cover over the shades with the names on it.

The palette is a limited edition gold and copper-hued highlighting trio that had semi-opaque to opaque pigmentation and the texture was soft and easy to blend. The shades are as follows-
- Gold Coasting: Champagne gold with gold shimmer
- Get It Glowin’: Fleshy peach with fine gold shimmer
- Rosy Cheer: Rich golden bronze with fine gold shimmer

All three shades work fantastically with medium to deep skin tones. They last for about 8 hours or more, don’t cause pores or texture to be enhanced and blend flawlessly with the skin. The highlighters don’t apply patchy, and don’t look like you’ve just packed on a blob of shimmer and glitter. The only sad thing is that it’s limited edition.
If you’re a fan of MAC’s Extra Dimension powders, you will fall hopelessly in love with these trios. They’re a bang for your buck!
