In a world of Farsalis, be a Henaa Hainaa. Honestly. We all know the hype that surrounds Farsali Care – not that it’s not well earned. The cult favourite brand deserves the recognition it gets. But sometimes, being in a country like India means not having easy access to such products. However, it doesn’t mean you can’t find what it is you’re looking for.
When it comes to adding oils in your makeup routine, I’m a big time skeptic. So when I found out about Gleam Elixir, I didn’t know what to expect. I delayed purchasing the product because I didn’t know if it was going to work for me. But considering the fact that I am OBSESSED with the brand’s Hydra Elixir, I thought I should give baby Gleam a try.
HENAA HAINAA BEAUTY – GLEAM ELIXIR
GLEAM ELIXIR is lightweight dry oil which softens the skin while illuminating with tiny shimmering minerals. Infused with rich oils, it helps nourish and protect the skin, offering anti-oxidant, anti-bacterial and anti-aging properties.
It contains pure orange peel oil which has been shown to increase the ability to absorb vitamin C, collagen production, and blood flow, all of which are essential for anti-aging. Orange peel is considered a boon for the skin as it treats blackheads, dead cells, acne, and blemishes.
It is also made with pure squalane oil, and meadow foam oil which locks the skin natural moisture.
Jojoba extracts in the elixir heal the skin, reversing the signs of aging and is anti-inflammatory.
MY VERDICT
Personally, I fell in love with the Gleam Elixir before I even used it – because it smells heavenly. The citrusy scent has my heart. The first time I used it, I mixed it in with my foundation in the hope that it will combat my dry skin.
And I swear to God, I couldn’t stop touching my face after. It was as if the elixir had transformed my base into something that I could only achieve using face tune. My foundation went on fantastic, the concealer felt like butter – and everything blended like a goddamned dream!
Although I will say this – I definitely hope they come out with a bigger bottle. Because I’m worried that I shall run out of my elixir really, really fast!
The Gleam Elixir retails for INR 1200, which definitely is a little steep, considering an indie brand. I wish they reconsider the price point just a tad bit. Because a beauty like this deserves to be on every shelf, and no one should have to feel that they can’t afford it. I don’t mean to ask them to run a charity, I just hope they put in a little consideration regarding the cost.
