Gigi Hadid X Reebok together have tried to make this collection more personal
Supermodel Gigi Hadid is one of the most recognizable faces in fashion today. From walking the runway at Victoria’s Secret and appearing at industry events the world over she create a unique and quirky sense of fashion. And this is what makes the diva look out of the box and we live no stone unturned to get a perfect look like her. And every fashion lover is amazed by her recently announced Gigi Hadid X Reebok line, the model dropped a four-piece capsule collection that she co-designed with Reebok, putting a rugged spin on the label’s classic Freestyle Hi and Aztrek sneakers.
Given total freedom with how the pieces would come together, Gigi opted to make the classic Freestyle Hit and Aztrek silhouettes the anchors of the collection and worked around updating these, before moving on to the
“This collection is about looking at the past and reinterpreting that creative boldness for today, for women who define their own style boundaries and aren’t afraid to challenge convention, I wanted to take classic Reebok clothing patterns and shapes and incorporate new cuts/crops, fresh colourways and fabrics/fits that I knew would be comfortable to workout and sweat in. The ‘classic nostalgia’ idea came from how I described wanting to feel in these clothes, and I love what each element of the collection represents – from the empowering identity of the Freestyle to the fierce statement T-shirt. Each piece feels personal to me and my style.”
Arriving in both a dark black with bold orange accents and a crisp chalk with hot red accents, the retro shoes toe the line between street and high fashion with their bulky design and heavily panelled upper.
