“Gandhara for us was an opportunity to learn more about our roots, The region that’s between present-day Pakistan and Afghanistan was in many ways the first global civilisation, To capture the essence of the period, we have tapped several crafts and stories from the region. We have employed a colour palette that includes natural madder, indigo, and charcoal hues. The home linen collection extensively uses Ajrakh, a block printed textile with roots in Sindh.” says Good Earth founder Anita Lal.
The wildflowers of the Swat Valley are etched in phulkari across cushions and they also inspired a host of pastel-hued, hand-blocked bedcovers curtains, and throws. The potters had transitioned into creating the much-loved tableware. With this collection, the brand has tried to create Greek-inspired amphoras, pots and jars.
