Yes, we’ve all heard of the numerous makeup tricks and techniques that are constantly evolving. Baking and jamsu are some of the popular ways to set your makeup, especially your concealer to give you crease free under eye. But there’s another technique that is a secret – it’s called the Double Bake technique, and it’s something that you’ll need during this crazy heat.

DOUBLE BAKE

So, in fairness, I knew about this technique, but I didn’t know it had a name. But thanks to a makeup artist based in Mumbai, Tuba Parizadi, I know all about it. And she uses it on almost all of her bridal clients to keep them looking flawless throughout all the festivities.

BUT WHAT IS THE DOUBLE BAKE EXACTLY?

As you can tell, it’s related to baking. (Which we’re aware of, thanks to the drag community) Double baking is exactly what it sounds like – it’s baking, twice.

After you’re done with blending out your concealer, take a damp beauty blender, dip it into your loose powder, and press it underneath your eyes/areas where you’ve applied concealer until it disappears. Don’t cake on the powder as you would in the baking process just yet.

After you’ve “set” your concealer, take a dry brush, dip it into your powder once more, and layer it on the areas where you’ve pressed in the powder. Let it sit for about 3-5 minutes, and then dust off.

Voila – you get a flawless, creaseless finish that won’t budge until you’re ready to take it all off.

This technique was initially used for stage makeup, but it has found it’s way into the bridal makeup community. And I think that’s the best thing about makeup. J
