For their Konkani wedding ceremony on day 1, Deepika wore a beautiful golden and red sari while Ranveer looked handsome in a white kurta and mundu. On day 2, DeepVeer married in a Sindhi wedding ceremony where Deepika wore a red Sabyasachi lehenga and Ranveer in a traditional kurta pyjama. They both got hitched in an Anand Karaj ceremony.
Deepika Padukone opted for a decadent red Sabyasachi lehenga, complete with an embroidered veil that bore an incantation, of which ‘Sada Saubhagyavati Bhava’ was visible on the border in Devanagari. Padukone accessories her lehenga with a maang tikka, traditional kalire, a statement nose ring and several rings, but it wasn’t just the bride who went big with the Singh wore strings of large emeralds and a jadau necklace too. For her Konkani wedding ceremony the day before, the actor chose a gold Kanchipuram silk sari by Sabyasachi Mukherjee again, while Singh picked a white and gold kurta dhoti set.
The entire Bollywood was wishing the couple, Priyanka Chopra, commented on both Ranveer’s as well as Deepika’s post. She commented, “Insanely beautiful” on Deepika’s post and “Stunning” on Ranveer Singh’s post. Apart from her, Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif, Anushka Sharma, Karan Johar and many other wished the couple.
Karan Johar, a friend of the couple, tweeted his congratulations on Wednesday. “Such a stunningly gorgeous and beautiful couple!!!! Nazar utar lo! (Keep the evil eye away) !! Badhai ho (Congratulations) !!! Love you both!!! Here’s to a lifetime of love and joy!”.
The couple will make their first public appearance at the Bangaluru reception on November 21 at The Leela hotel. The couple will also host a lavish wedding reception in Mumbai for their industry friends on November 28 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel.
