When the Golden Globes happened last week, you saw me obsessing over all the minimal makeup looks on the red carpet. Well, for this year’s blue carpet at the Critics’ Choice Awards, I loved seeing a lot more of the minimalist. Along with all the bold looks too. So here’s a quick rundown of my favourite looks from the star studded evening.
LADY GAGA
Gaga made heads turn with her periwinkle moment at the Golden Globes. In similar fashion, she wowed the audience with her toned down, yet gorgeous Calvin Klein number. With her Hollywood curls, batty lashes and barely there makeup, Gaga was a winner off the stage and on it.

CHARLIZE THERON
I have been obsessed with Charlize Theron ever since I can remember. In her ombre shimmery gown, and those neutral orange lids, Theron slayed the blue carpet and more. I wish to age as stunningly as her tbh.

OLIVIA MUNN
Celebrity make up artist Patrick Ta dolled up Olivia Munn for the Critics’ Choice Awards, and hell, that red lip did everything for me. I wasn’t a major fan of her outfit choice, but that makeup looks like it’s going to be the next inspired look on my Instagram.

EMILY BLUNT
I’d put this beauty on my list any day. The Mary Poppins star, as always, had everybody’s attention with her hunk of a husband, John Krasinski by her side. And that neutral makeup with the stunning skin takes the cake for my favourite! I love these two so much, they get their own photo moment!

LAURA HARRIER
The BlacKkKlansman star stunned in a Louis Vuitton gown and barely there makeup. And how cute is that li’l wing tho?

JAMEELA JAMIL
British star Jameela Jamil, known for her portrayal of Tahani Al-Jamil on The Good Place wore an Oscar de la Renta gown and boots on the blue carpet, cuz, comfort. The star did her own makeup at the Golden Globes and looked bomb. Idk what the story of the Critics’ Choice Carpet is, but she looked goooood.
KRISTEN BELL
Loved her at the globes, loved her last night. Kristen Bell somehow always manages to keep the makeup toned down and always look radiant in the process. The Critics’ Choice was no exception. And that gorgeous blue Cushnie dress – magnifique!

There were a lot of stunning stars on the blue carpet, but these stood out for me. Makeup inspo for 2019 is pretty much solidifying. Ya hear me? Recreations are coming.
