First, came the egg.
Then, came the foundation.
Third, the setting spray.
And finally, we now have primers from Beauty Blender. Okay, we don’t have them YET. But they’ve been teased on social media. And last night, Trendmood dropped all the deets on the upcoming base acers.
The brand that brought the egg is now bringing to our shelves, their new primers. And so far, they look pretty good.
BEAUTY BLENDER PRIMERS
There are 4 separate primers which have 4 separate purposes. We applaud this attempt by Beauty Blender. Since primers should work for your skin type, there is no way a universal primer works. So kudos to the idea!
SELFIE SHIELD – Dry oil primer. Broad spectrum SPF 38
Invisible, quick absorbing, helps both protect and prep skin for makeup.
The ultra-light dry oil sinks in and blends with no greasiness or chalky cast, no matter your skin tone.
This multitasking blend also includes antioxidants vitamin C and E, which help further protect, neutralize pollutants and brighten skin. So you’re covered whether you’re in the sun or on your cell.
Essentially for brown spots, fine lines and redness.
OPAL ESSENCE – Hydration Serum primer
Delivers the perfect dose of dewiness.
The nourishing transformative texture creates a hydrating base so foundation glides over skin without clinging to any dry patches or lines.
All the while keeping skin from looking dull or too greasy.
A powerful blend of fermented botanical extracts helps soothe and brighten. So skin looks better instantly and over time.
For dehydration, dullness and flaking.
THE LEVELER – Pore Minimizing Primer
Contains niacinamide to help blur the appearance of redness, large pores and uneven texture.
High performance silicones glide over skin and create a humidity proof barrier to minimize shine and lock makeup in place for all day or all night wear.
Has a lightweight texture.
This particular primer comes in 2 shades (they sheer out once they are blended):
- Light – Medium
- Tan – Deep
You might be wondering how inclusive the Leveler primer actually is. Two shades?
But not to worry.
First of all, it’s not a foundation. It’s a tinted primer.
Second, it doesn’t provide coverage so it’s perfectly fine if it’s not an exact match for your skin tone.
The idea behind The Leveler primer is to perfect the appearance of the skin and create a solid base for foundation to be applied over the top.
The beauty blender primers are set to launch next month, on the 7th of March! So keep your eyes peeled for more deets, and your wallets ready.
