Again a proud moment for India as Anita Dongre enters the New York Fashion Circuit

Indian fashion designers are changing fashion perceptions and style for every individual. There are so many designers in the fashion industry who have succeeded in the world one of such name is Anita Dongre. Anita Dongre enters the New York fashion circuit.
Anita Dongre is a fashion designer from India and founder of House of Anita Dongre which is today recognized as India’s leading fashion house. Having traveled abroad she had seen the changing trends and a seed of an idea of starting her own label was born. All her collections reflect her love and admiration towards the heritage of India. She keeps going back to her roots i.e. the city of Jaipur in Rajasthan, India in search for her design inspirations.
Anita Dongre never stops working. She’s signed on two properties for to set up sales points in New York. She says that “My son Yash, along with a manager who has worked with our company for a long time are moving to New York to set base and slowly grow a team there,” she tells us. Anita Dongre and Grassroot by the designer will have distinct stores in Soho. “We are looking at opening Grassroot on Wooster Street by the end of June, and Anita Dongre mid-July. With Grassroot, I want to keep the look and feel of the retail environment same as the ones here, with a little more storytelling reflecting how the products are created,”.
