Guo is known for stretching the boundaries of fashion but this time, he successfully broke all the boundaries for this industry.
Moto Guo is a Malaysian-based menswear designer with an eponymous label officially launched in 2015. Skin riddled with pimples, blackheads and bumps is the look that Moto Guo debuted during Milan Men’s Fashion Week, this month. His collection included ‘almost ridiculous and childlike outfits‘.
Models with blemished and inflamed skin were sent down the runway and the very next day, newspapers were brimmed with headlines as ‘Acne is the new cool‘. From then onwards, pimples were prompted as the hottest accessory. This was in absolute contradiction to the existing stigma of ‘perfect skin‘ in our society.
Now, lets have a glimpse of what exactly the fuss is all about.
Now, the question is will the companies hire models on the same old set norms or with the introduction of this concept, flexibility is bound to be seen?
