2019 Beauty Trends: It’s time to track the best makeup looks and trends

“Beauty has so many forms, and I think the most beautiful thing is confidence and loving yourself.” But apart from that In 2018, we saw a lot of different beauty trends, ranging from the awesome to the creative to the questionable. So with the New Year just started, we are more curious than ever to find out what new 2019 beauty trends will be coming this year.

After all, fashion week not only gives us a glimpse at next summers fashion trends but how we’ll be wearing our makeup, styling our hair and painting our nails too. It’s fair to say the looks we see on the runway can occasionally look a little much for everyday wear, but there’s always a way to alter them to suit your individual style. Here are we with some trends which are going to be bits hits for the year.

Bold Lips

2018 saw the minimal makeup movement seriously challenge the heavy Instagram look. For 2019 prepare to compromise and pair your barely-there base with a bold lip, as ‘standout lip colour’.

Almond Nails

For this year trend, you don’t need to do a lot of research as all you need to remember for 2019 is ‘almond’. As we bid farewell to the beautiful, but impractical coffin nail, ‘almond nail’ searches are up.

Glitter And Gloss

This season glitter and metallics should not be saved just for nighttime glamour but embraced for daytime. Glitter is a non-mover for 2019, as evidenced by the galaxy-inspired glittery eyes and nails.

Buns And Ponytails

From slicked-back chignons at Burberry to top knots and low slung ponytails, when it came to hair, the look at countless shows centred around a take on ponytails and buns.

The Graphic Cat-Eye

How good are you at applying eyeliner in a perfect feline flick? Whether pencil or liquid, black or coloured, mascara took a back seat this season as innovative eyeliner came to the fore. Reach for that pencil and doddle with abandon.
