Skin care omission is not the most common topic that men are most likely to think about in their free time. Often overlooked by the idea of considering different ways to add more beauty regimens to achieve an ideal skin. Here are few ways you can part with to get a better skin:
1. Not using sunscreen: Believe it or not but research has shown that the number of men dying from skin cancer is more than women. Sun can also prematurely age you which is why it’s time you start using sunscreen diligently. Apply sunscreen with minimum SPF 15 daily. If you spend time outdoors, apply it twice in a day.
2. Touching your face more often than not: Constant touching and resting your hands on cheeks during the course of the day allows dirt, gunk and grime to settle on your skin. This leads to adult acne. Keeping your hands clean might help, but the truth is that your skin is always dirtier than it seems.
3. Using high-end products for namesake: Contrary to popular belief, high-end skincare products are not synonymous to great quality. A healthy skin comes from better habits and not better products. Invest in a brand which you trust or ask for tried and tested recommendations. And of course accompany it with a healthy lifestyle.
4. Refrain from over-exfoliation: Exfoliation is an important process of keeping your skin healthy. It can enhance the texture and complexion of your skin to a large extent by removing the dead skin cells, gunk and grime off your face. However, exfoliating more than twice a week can upset the balance of your skin, another skin care omission. Your skin will dry out and in turn will compensate by over-producing oil. This is a signal for acne and blemishes.
5. Not paying attention to your skin type: Many of you might not be knowing this but there are 4-5 different kinds of skin types that you should be aware of. It’s important especially with regard to which products you must or must not use, because certain ingredients suit one skin type and not others. For example, salicylic acid suits oily skin and not dry skin. Know your skin type before starting with a product.

8. Don’t Overdo sugar: Indulge once in a while, but don’t turn venti caramel lattes into a daily thing. High-sugar diets cause inflammation, which can lead to breakouts. Cookies, cake, donuts, and soft drinks are are major skin care omission which top the list. But don’t forget to check the grams of sugar in seemingly healthy foods, like flavored yogurt, cereal and jarred sauces. These unsuspecting sugar bombs can deliver a huge dose of the sweet stuff without being classified as dessert.
9. Don’t Stress: Traffic jams and 12-hour workdays don’t just affect your mood; stress wreaks havoc on your skin, too. Getting frazzled throws hormone levels into flux, which damages healthy skin cells and makes you more prone to breakouts and wrinkles. Because you won’t find a bottle of zen in the skincare aisle, recharge and relax by doing what you love, whether it’s CrossFit or cracking open a new book.
10. Layering on too many products: Wouldn’t you just be okay with a clear face than a face which you would dread looking in the mirror when you’re older. Don’t use too many cosmetics to look good for a day because in the end it will inevitably damage your valuable skin in the long run. Layering unnecessary beauty products is a skin care omission to keep in mind.
